Farm Hand
CURRENT AS OF JUNE 2023
We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic person to join our team in a permanent farmhand position in Moora, 170km north of Perth, WA.
The person will have a diverse role including broad acre machinery operation and some livestock work. Machinery operation may include spreading, seeding, spraying and harvesting.
This full-time position commences immediately.
Applicants should have:

Solid mechanical skills.

Excellent communications and record keeping skills.

Ability to work in a productive and safe manner as part of our team.

Genuine passion for farming.
The farm is located 10km from Moora, a large regional center with excellent facilities including, primary and secondary education and a hospital. The community has numerous sporting clubs, weekly Park Runs and an annual Triathlon event. We offer an excellent remuneration package, including on-farm housing.

Casual
Pre-Seeding: February–April
Spreading of fertilizers, lime and gypsum. Deep ripping using a Challenger Track tractor.
Seeding: April–June
Seeding requires operating a 4WD New Holland tractor towing a 20T Morris air seeder and a 60 ft (18m) seeding bar on GPS auto steer.
Post Seeding: June–July
Spreading of nitrogen fertiliser, as well as clearing paddocks of rocks and sticks.
Harvest: October–January
Harvest includes a variety of roles such as operating a 25T chaser bin towed by a John Deere 8320R tractor.
